Occupational Health

Staff, are key asset to business and essential to ensure productivity and profitability for the business.

Occupational health helps to keep people physically and mentally well at work. We can help to manage any risks in the workplace that are likely to give rise to work related ill health.

Each year, 170 million days are lost to sickness absence, and it costs the economy an estimated £100bn. Research also shows that the longer an individual is off sick, the less likely they are to return to work.

We work with a wide variety of issues, some of which are listed below:

  • Occupational Health Assessments – We will conduct an initial assessment face to face or phone consultation with the employee. We will then prepare the report with information around, if there are any underlying health issues, if the employee is fit to work and if necessary make recommendations on further specialist’s investigations and treatments. If appropriate, we can also provide a detailed return to work plan.
  • Absence Management – Our team can help to assess and provide impartial and professional advice on any absenteeism and support employees to get back to work as quickly as possible.
  • Stress / Depression at Work – Employees experience stress or depression (low mood) at work due to many reasons, such as a demanding job with an increased level of workload, uncertainty in the workplace, if employees feel that they are not being heard by their managers, conditions of the workplace and also conditions outside the workplace. Early support around stress and depression (low mood) is crucial. Increased levels of stress and depression (low mood) can affect an individual in many ways such as withdrawing from socially engaging, frequent headaches poor performance, increased absenteeism, irritability, tearfulness and low energy.

At Clinical Therapy Group our experts can help organisations to manage the health issues of their employees and support them to return to work.
